Computek, Incorporated is a minority/woman-owned small business incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Computek was founded in 1992 and successfully provided high quality software products and information technology services to a variety of customers for five years before applying to the Small Business Administration for certification in the 8(a) Business Development Program. Our application demonstrated the firm’s “potential for success” and Computek was certified as an 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business in August 1997. While continuing to provide information technology services to commercial and DOD clients, Computek has actively sought opportunities to add depth and diversity to the company’s core competencies and business base. Computek acquired Tidewater Naval Architects in November 2001. Acquistion of this established and well-regarded firm of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers has enabled Computek to add a full range of shipboard design, engineering, and computer aided drafting capabilities to the portfolio of services that we offer to our customers.
Continuum Services provides professional IT services including
custom software application development, training, systems integration,
IT hardware and software sales and support, and IT facilities management
to government and industrial customers. Continuum employees have extensive
expertise in solving real world problems with advanced technology
solutions such as cluster computing, 3D visualization, high-performance
networks and storage, and visual collaboration.
DST is a small, minority-, veteran-, woman-owned business
headquartered in Maryland. Since their founding in 1994, DST has consistently
provided outstanding technical and management support along with exceptional
customer service, fast response, and administrative excellence.
LJT & Associates, Inc., an SBA Certified 8(a) Small Disadvantaged,
Veteran Owned Business, is a technology and engineering services provider
offering diverse solutions to a wide variety of clients throughout
the world. LJT’s three divisions, Federal Space, Geospatial
& Infrastructure, and Information Technology, offer expertise
to include integrated satellite communications solutions and system
engineering, geospatial, facilities management, and physical security
consulting services, and IT solutions to a wide variety of federal,
state, and commercial organizations.
PROSOFT, a successful graduate of the Small Business Administration’s
8(a) Program, is an established, quality leader in the design, installation,
testing, operation, support, and maintenance of information systems.
They possess extensive experience providing technical features and
business solutions through the implementation of new technology.
SAI, a small business headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland,
has an established support staff in 27 states and has deployed services
in all 50 states and two U.S. territories. SAI IT Services was founded
in 1989 as a technical and professional staffing services firm supporting
agencies within the Department of Defense, Department of Justice,
Department of Transportation, and General Services Administration
as well as several large commercial clients. Primary services areas
include: SEI CMM/CMMI Assistance and Evaluation, Process Improvement,
Network Engineering; Desktop Support; Help Desk Operations; Web Site
Development and Management; Applications Development; Systems Testing;
Business and Systems Analysis; Strategic Staff Augmentation. The following
paragraphs provide examples of SAI project experience relevant to
the SeaPort Enhanced Program.
Synergetics is a professional organization providing vast
technical and managerial experience to our contract service clients.
Synergetics specializes in Open Systems Architecture, Life-Cycle Software
Systems Development, Procurement Analysis, Requirements Analysis,
and Training and Support. Based in Fort Collins, Co. Synergetics has
a broad background providing technology solutions and consulting,
and specializes in delivering expertise in GIS technology, Database
Design and Administration, Enterprise Web Development, and Help Desk
and other support services. The Synergetics team provided the software
expertise that culminated receiving the Data Warehousing for Government
Award - Data Warehousing Institute, Best Practices, as well as the
InfoWorld 100 award for innovative applications, and the ESRI award
in Geography Networks.
UNISYS, Inc., is a worldwide systems integrator specializing
in information technology services and solutions. They deliver value-based
solutions led by their competency in consulting and systems integration,
outsourcing, infrastructure services and security, combined with leading
enterprise-class server and related technologies. They bring a depth
of expertise in the areas of administration and finance, justice and
public safety, defense and domestic security, human services, education,
and healthcare.
Visionary Integration Professionals, Inc. (VIP), an 8(a) certified,
woman-owned, minority-owned professional services consulting firm
headquartered in Sacramento, CA, helps government and commercial sector
organizations use technology to increase productivity, maximize revenue,
improve performance, and reduce costs. This includes the full range
of system life cycle services, from business process definition to
deployment and ongoing maintenance. VIP’s subsidiary, ATS, provides
additional expertise in software quality and testing services and
tools.
VRCO, a small business located in Virginia Beach, Virginia,
provides professional IT services including custom software application
development, training, systems integration, IT hardware and software
sales and support, and IT facilities management to government and
industrial customers. VRCO designs, sells and installs large format
computer display systems, and a variety of interactive 3D visualization
software products. Employees are experienced in solving real world

MD, has a reputation for providing top quality systems engineering
for technical and cost analyses, advanced concept development, and
research on advanced systems and technologies for electronics, weapons,
